Showstopper Titles

The Showstopper titles are all about having fun with your dog and exercising some creativity! They are a great introduction to Canine Freestyle and Heelwork to Music, offering the chance to create dance routines from the comfort of your own home and without as many rules and restrictions as public trials. Using a minimum number of tricks for each level, you and your dog must create a routine to music. There are no rules about the music used aside, from excluding anything with homophobic, racist or xenophobic tones.

We do not need to hear your cues over the music, and cues should be as subtle as possible - please see full criteria for each level for specific information. Each routine should be a minimum of a minute and a half long for each level and the videos should be one full performance, not cut and edited. Props can be anything from a baton to a hula hoop to a children’s toy, and accessories can be any kind of outfits, bandanas, hair bows and so on. Required accessories only apply to the dog, though handlers are welcome to join in!

There is no age restrictions for this title, but please ensure the tricks are suitable for your dog's age range - i.e., no high jumps for young puppies. Rewards and praise are both accepted and encouraged, but if the reward is in your hand whilst cueing, it is classed as a lured trick.
